August 2017 (Special Edition: Job Openings)

Announcing two exciting new job opportunities in IR&DS:

Business Intelligence and Training Analyst

Be the outreach liaison and trainer for SIRIS Student Analytics

The wonderful outreach and trainer analyst we have had for the past year, Sara Cina, has moved on to a new role within Institutional Research and Decision Support—she is now an Institutional Research Analyst as of August 1. While Sara will still be available as a resource to SIRIS users, IR&DS is looking for a new team member to lead the effort of promoting and supporting SIRIS use across campus.

The ideal candidate would be:

● someone who is already familiar with Stanford student data and with SIRIS

● someone who enjoys working with and teaching people

● someone who is creative in designing solutions for people's reporting needs

It's an opportunity to contribute to the success of the Student Analytics reporting system—you will be a key interface between campus users and the business system analysts and developers. Check out the full job description here:

Please help spread the word—even if you yourself are not interested, pass the information on to anyone whom you think might be a good fit. If anyone wants to know more about what the job entails, obviously Sara herself would be a good person to ask, but Lillian Lee or Janice Pang on the SIRIS team would also be able to provide plenty of information.

We are indebted to Sara for the great work she has done over the past year—introducing people to SIRIS, creating custom reports, lobbying for user needs. She has left big shoes to fill, but she has also made the job a little easier by being the first to break the trail. We welcome all interested parties to apply and/or contact us for further information.
