SIRIS is a work-in-progress, and its development has been heavily shaped by outreach to and requests from stakeholders across the university. The first release of SIRIS was piloted by a group of early adopters, with participants representing all seven schools and several other business units across campus. We continue to rely on feedback from users to brainstorm new features, identify bugs or data discrepancies, and to vet future data releases.

One of the best ways to keep in touch and stay up-to-date on all things SIRIS is to sign up for our siris-news-updates mailing list. You’ll receive our monthly newsletter which contains information about important system updates and changes as well as success stories, tips and tricks, and training opportunities.

Additionally, we hold a monthly Student Analytics Knowledge Exchange (SAKE) meeting where users and developers can share information and best practices. These meetings are a great place to discuss a tricky problem, learn a new trick, or hear more about some common student reporting challenges (such as coterm reporting). Notes, handouts, slides, and agendas from previous SAKE meetings can be found here, and announcements about upcoming meetings go out on the mailing list. SAKE is typically held on the fourth Monday of the month, from 11am-12pm, though be sure to check a recent newsletter or email siris-support-team@lists.stanford.edu for the current schedule.
